Sanibel author Randy Wayne White said. We had no clue what awaited when we started Doc Ford’s.” White, a bestselling author and former News-Press columnist, named the restaurants for one of his most famous characters, Marion “Doc” Ford, a former National Security Agency agent who retired to become a marine biologist on Sanibel but never could leave his dangerous past behind. White’s “Doc Ford” book series has encompassed 20 novels from 1990 to 2020.

Meet at North Collier Regional Park, 15000 Livingston Rd, Naples 34109 at 10:00 am for signing of waivers and driver mandatory meeting. Plan to depart approximately 10:30 am.
