Everglades Regions Wins 2021 PCA Public Service Award

Since the Porsche Club of America was formed in 1955, regions have prioritized community service and charitable contributions. In 2002, PCA decided to recognize the unique and diverse programs implemented by regions throughout PCA in support of public service.

The PCA Public Service Awards recognize the regions that have conducted the most outstanding charity or community service event or events during the year. The winning regions demonstrate the highest standards in meeting the objectives and the ideals of the PCA in providing service and support to charities and the community.

On July 17th 2021, the prestigious 1st Place award was presented to The Everglades Region Porsche Club of America. Many thanks to our club president, John Petracco, our outstanding board of directors, Porsche of Naples, Porsche of Fort Myers,  and the countless volunteers and partners that make our events and charitable endeavors such resounding successes.

What: “Beyond Seat Time” Autocross School

When: November 20-21, 2021

Where: Buckingham Airfield, 3987 Sunset Rd., Lehigh Acres, FL 33971

We’re excited to announce the return of the “Beyond Seat Time” Autocross School on November 20-21 at Buckingham Airfield. Vivek Goel, author and creator of Beyond Seat Time (BEST) will be back to host his 2nd school. For those of you who know Vivek, attended his 2019 school or study BEST, no further introduction for Vivek is necessary! There is no better way to improve and get faster in this sport than through quality instruction / coaching and seat time.

No amount of money spent on car mod’s can compete with knowledge, skill and experience. If you’ve previously attended an Evo or Solo Pro school and didn’t attend our 2019 BEST school, give this one a try. This school approaches autocross from a very different perspective than Evo or SP and focuses heavily on the BEST online curriculum. We highly recommend enrolling and taking the online course before the school. Go to www.beyondseattime.com

The school is structured in a two day program:

Day 1 is intended for National level drivers. This school will focus on Euler Spiral corner entry and exit, line selection, connecting corners, driving consistently at the limit, mental outlook, using vision, reading courses to execute entry / exit of elements and error recovery. Saturday’s class is limited to the first 12 drivers registered and paid. The tuition for Saturday’s class is $400.

Day 2 is the best choice for the majority of Everglades Region members. This school will focus on event preparation & course walking skills, line selection, how to place your car correctly to enter / exit elements on course, car control, where and when to cut distance and how to put it all together to execute your best run. This school will be very individualized to be able to cater to drivers of all skill levels from the beginner to national champions. The Sunday program is open to the first 20 drivers to register and pay. Tuition for Sunday is $300. If you are registering for Day 1 and just can’t get enough, you can register for the entire weekend for $550.
